RNLI Family Fun Weekend
When: Saturday 10th September 2005 -> Sunday 11th September 2005
Where: Mermaid Quay, Mermaid Quay Cardiff Bay Cardiff
Come and be a part of Cardiff’s most colourful and exciting event this September, as the RNLI Family Fun Weekend returns to Mermaid Quay and Roald Dahl Plass, Cardiff Bay.
There will be loads of attractions for all the family, including a craft market, a huge climbing tower, performing artists, singers and musicians, giant bouncy castle, craft workshops, face painting, traditional children’s fun fair rides and emergency services displays.
On the water there will be a number of vessels available to board and explore as well as zap cats to ride, family sailing boats, lifeboats and the chance to see a display by Newfoundland water rescue dogs and an exciting search and rescue helicopter display right overhead.

There are lots of ways in which companies and individuals can get involved in the weekend. Put forward a team of 4 for our companies challenge and attempt to beat the competition across the inner harbour in a small bell boat. Or if you are into climbing, why not take up our sponsored climb on the climbing tower in Roald Dahl Plass. We want to climb the equivalent of Snowdon throughout the weekend. That’s 1085 metres high, or 147 times up the tower. If you think you could be a part of a team to complete this challenge, please get in contact for more information.
