The opening of a dock in Cardiff, just two years into Victoria’s reign, heralded the era of the town’s greatest prosperity, and led the way it’s becoming the greatest coal-exporting port in the World. Dr Jenkins’ talk gives a history of the docks, but concentrates on its Victorian and Edwardian heyday.
This is the fourth in a series of 5 talks on the theme of Victorian Cardiff.
