The role of the Marquesses of Bute in the development of Cardiff is hugely important. Not only did the family transform the town, but they recreated the Castle as well. This illustrated talk will examine the architectural influence that the Butes exercised, as well as the personal relationship that this aristocratic family had with their south Wales estate.
This is the last in a series of 5 talks on the theme of Victorian Cardiff.
