Dancing at Lughnasa is a wonderful and poetic play about memory. It involves the summer of a Catholic family living in Ireland in 1936. It is set in the time of the pagan festival of the old celtic god of the harvest. The family are faced with values that dont correspond with their own beliefs as well as the British influences and the pending industrial revolution. It has moments that will bring you to tears and other times when you'll want to sing and dance.
