Jive Magic now have tickets available for their May Masquerade Ball, being held at the Cardiff Coal Exchange on Saturday 17 May 2003.
Regularly playing host to music events for around 500+ people, the Cardiff Coal Exchange has to be one of the largest venues of its kind in Wales.
The evening commences at 7.45pm with close-up magicians entertaining guests on arrival.
Following the success of their Christmas Dance, Jenn & Jon are proud to announce the return of Swing Shift as the headline act for the evening.
Band leader, Barry Hammett, formed Swing Shift just over 2 years ago, pre-empting the renaissance of swing music by artists such as Robbie Williams & the Pop Idol stars. Although originally formed to perform only swing music, the band has evolved to include many other genres and their playlist now includes swing, soul, rock 'n' roll, Latin, Big Band favourites, pop and of course modern jive!
The band members all come equipped with the highest musical C.V.'s that anyone could wish for, having played with artists such as Tom Jones, Tony Bennett, Englebert Humperdinck, Jack Jones, Aretha Franklin, Cilla Black, Georgie Fame, Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, The American Drifters and many more, too numerous to list here.
Their vocal team boasts two award winning singers, with the power packed voices of Krissy Kirby and Andy Harvey whose vocal dexterity can be heard in tributes to Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones.
The band have a very busy work diary which has seen them perform at a host of club engagements, several society weddings up and down the country and for BBC radio, infront of a 2,500 strong audience.
