Boys and Girls Football Camps
When: Thursday 22nd February 2007 -> Friday 23rd February 2007
Where: Cardiff University Sports Centre Talybont, Off Excelsior Road, Cardiff, CF14 3UX
As part of our work with local children and to enhance the profile of our club, last year we undertook a number of Kids Camps in Cardiff. They proved so successful we have decided to run with them again in 2007.
All camps are held in the school holidays and cost £30 for a two day camp, which includes
Coaching from International female players and coaches
A free training kit (shirt and shorts) for each individual
A certificate and medal.
Our next camps are:
Camp Lyon 19th & 20th February 2 day camp, Leisure Leagues Arenas. Curran Road, Cardiff CF10 5DF
Camp Milan 22nd & 23rd February 2 day camp Cardiff University Sports Centre, Talybont, Cardiff CF14 3UX
They are open to both boys and girls aged from 6-14
Due to potential weather conditions we have chosen indoor sites for both of the February camps. Both venues provide a safe and secure environment for your children.
The Camps run from 9.30am until 3.30pm. Following registration the first coaching sessions start. The aim here is get the kids gently warmed up and familiar with the coaches, other kids on the camps as well as getting used to their surroundings.
The children will be coached according to their age groups and experience levels for the younger/less experienced it will be all about having fun with a football football cricket, football snakes and ladders etc. The children can expect to build up their confidence levels.
For the older children the coaching will be focused at improving their football skills and give them ideas to practice after the camps.
Cardiff City LFC Club Coach Michele Adams said One of the pleasing aspects of our work last year was to note how many children of both sexes took advantage of the camps and enjoyed them so much, came back time after time. Our club is an accredited club, bronze status and working towards our silver. We are a national league outfit and our senior teams boast many full international and junior international players. All our coaches are fully qualified, CRB checked and first aid trained.
This scheme is all part of Cardiff City LFCs commitment to their work of providing football within schools and children in the community. .
