Boys and Girls Football Camps Easter 2007
When: Monday 2nd April 2007 -> Tuesday 3rd April 2007
Where: The Astroturf at Cardiff University Talybont,, TalybontOff Excelsior Road, Cardiff CF14 3UX
As part of our work with local children and to enhance the profile of our club, last year we undertook a number of Kids Camps in Cardiff. They proved so successful we have decided to run with them again in 2007.
All camps are held in the school holidays and cost £30 for a two day camp and £40 for a 3 day camp. The price includes the following
Coaching from UEFA qualified coaches
A free training kit (shirt and shorts) for each individual
A certificate of achievement and medal
Our next camps are during the Easter holidays:
Camp Gabbidon - 2nd & 3rd April - £30.00
Camp Bellamy 11th, 12th & 13th April - £40.00
They are open to both boys and girls aged from 6-14
We have again chosen to use the excellent facilities at Cardiff University Sports Centre at the Talybont site. This venue provides a safe environment for the children and whilst every effort will be made to make best use of the outside Astroturf, back up indoor facilities are available should the weather take a turn for the worse.
The Camps run from 9.30am until 3.30pm. Following registration the first coaching sessions start. The aim here is get the kids gently warmed up and familiar with the coaches, other kids on the camps as well as getting used to their surroundings.
The children will be coached according to their age groups and experience levels for the younger/less experienced it will be all about having fun with a football football cricket, football snakes and ladders etc. The children can expect to build up their confidence levels.
For the older children the coaching will be focused at improving their football skills and give them ideas to practice after the camps.
Cardiff City LFC Club Coach Michele Adams said One of the pleasing aspects of our work last year was to note how many children of both sexes took advantage of the camps and enjoyed them so much, came back time after time. Our club is an accredited club, bronze status and working towards our silver. We are a Premier League outfit and our senior teams boast many full international and junior international players. All our coaches are UEFA Licensed qualified, CRB checked and first aid trained.
This scheme is all part of Cardiff City LFCs commitment to their work of providing football within schools and children in the community. .
