The Garej project aims to provide members, and other Cardiff based up-and-coming artists representing a variety of disciplines, with opportunities to exhibit work over a 6-month period from July to December 2007. The art space, which is located in a former garage under the studios, will provide Cardiff with an intimate and much-needed alternative venue for experimental and challenging artwork. It will act as a forum for people interested in the arts and be available for arts orientated community use. The Garej art space will be officially opened on Friday 29 June. The opening exhibition, New Tyres, will feature work by Neale Howells, one of Wales most exciting young contemporary artists.Arts Council for Wales, Welsh Assembly and Lottery funding supports the Garej project.
