'Being There', Cherry Pickles & Carol Robertson

Cherry Pickles and Carol Robertson each embark on a journey: travelling metaphorically becomes an inspiration and catalyst for the route back to painting.
Cherry Pickles is figurative artist and uses the experience of driving across America from east coast to west as her starting point. Carol Robertson, an abstract artist, commences by making a series of visits to the Balearic Island of Menorca, where she explores the geological and architectonic histories of abandoned quarries.
