Join us in fighting dementia every step of the way by taking part in the South Wales Memory Walk on the 5th October at Roath Park Lake, Cardiff.
The Terra Nova Café is hosting the event and they will provide a marquee with refreshments. Entertainment will be provided by a Choir and there will be various activities for children. Staffed by guides, the Memory Walk will provide a perfect setting for an enjoyable walk with friends and all the family, during which memories can be made and loved ones’ can be remembered.
Please arrive at 11am, entertainment and speeches will be at 11.30am from Roy Noble, Radio Presenter and supporter of the Alzheimer’s Society and Jenny Randerson, Assembly Member for Cardiff Central. The walk will start at 12pm.
There is a 1.3mile Memory Walk ‘once around the lake’ and a more strenuous 3.9mile walk which is ‘3 times around the lake’. The route boasts wheelchair access and parking is free around the boundaries of the park.
