FREE talks for parents, teachers, advisors and anyone interested in child education. All welcome.
Steiner Waldorf education is the largest and fastest growing independent school system in the world. Schools avoid formal teaching until a child is six or seven, providing an unhurried and creative learning environment where children can find the joy in learning and experience the richness of childhood. They support a holistic approach based on child development.
The 'Learning to Love Learning' talk series is for parents, teachers, advisors and anyone interested in child education. Our guest speakers are experienced Steiner Waldorf teachers and advisors, who bring a wealth of practical experience from the Steiner classroom, to offer a fascinating insight into this unique education approach.

'Celebrate! - The Importance of Festivals in Childhood' – Deborah Leah

Festivals are joyful highlights in the seasonal rhythm of the School and Kindergarten year. They nourish the senses and emotions of children, through beauty and art shared with others. Deborah Leah explores how celebrating festivals helps to build up the cultural fabric of our future.
Deborah is a teacher at Wynstones Steiner Waldorf School in Gloucestershire. She has been a Steiner Waldorf teacher since 1981, and has celebrated many festivals with children and adults, especially during the nine years she lived and worked in Camphill Communities for people with learning disabilities, mental health problems and other special needs.
