When: Saturday 8th November 2008 -> Tuesday 11th November 2008 - Various times
Where: Senedd, Cardiff Bay
The Senedd will become the focal point of Remembrance in Wales over the coming days as the award-winning Welsh sculptor, Andrew Cooper installs his newest piece, Nomansland. Supported by The Royal British Legion and the Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales, the installation will be open to the general public from Saturday 8 November until Tuesday 11 November.
Andrew Cooper’s Nomansland installation explores the Armistice and the events of Remembrance through a field of red; with poppies suspended from tears of blood, infinitely reflected in mirrors. Lost in a myriad of red, participants find themselves in a space for meditation, physical response and remembrance.
The Royal British Legion has been working closely with the Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales to ensure that this unique memorial to those who lost their lives in past and present conflicts can be viewed and experienced by the public.
