In this debate we hope to explore the arguments around whether fair trade is actually fair and whether free trade can ever help reduce poverty.

It will be chaired by Jane Davidson AM, Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing.
Speakers include: Mark Varney, Head of Business Development, Fairtrade Foundation; Benedict Southworth, Director, World Development Movement; Peter Griffiths, author The Economist’s Tale; and Alec van Gelder, Network Director, International Policy Network.
