The Welsh Canoe and Kayak Show
When: Saturday 25th April 2009 - 9.30am - 6.00pm
Where: Cardiff Marine Village, Penarth Road, Cardiff. CF11 8TU
The show will bring together a significant amount of paddling organisations, equipment suppliers and retailers under one 1/2 hectare section of South Wales sky.
From across the different suppliers there will be over 150 different boats available for testing on the river next to the venue. So if you are interested in white water kayaking, sea kayaking, kayak fishing, sit on tops, touring and recreational kayaking, open canoeing, inflatable kayaks, stand up paddle boarding or peddle kayaking then why not join us. Entry is free to all!
The Aims of the Show:-
to introduce people to the exciting atmosphere of the canoeing and kayaking world,
to introduce the vaste array of equipment that is currently available from as many distributors as possible,
to allow people to try out and compare all the different boats they want on the River Ely which runs along the side of the venue,
to introduce existing paddlers to other spheres of paddling,
to highlight the new directions the sport is taking,
to showcase lots of brand new product that has never been seen before,
to encourage people to take their paddling further in terms of skills and travel,
to educate about the benefits that come from being involved with paddle sports
and finally to have great time and a laugh.
There will be over 50 paddling brands present and over 150 different models of boat that can be tried and tested on the river.
