One of the world’s foremost theatre directors and a specialist in Shakespeare takes students through some of the great plays.
The course includes how to read and/or teach Shakespeare; Shakespeare in a multi-cultural society; verse speaking; story-telling; acting Shakespeare – traditional or modern?; Shakespeare the subversive or conservative; directing Shakespeare - cutting, rewriting, modernizing, deconstructing. The Tragedies, The Comedies, The Problem Plays (Are there any?)
All ages are welcome, and no previous acting experience is necessary.
