Classical Education Forum Day Course: Anglo-Saxon Magic and Medicine
When: Saturday 12th June 2010 - 10am -3.30pm
Where: Ararat Centre, Whitchurch, Cardiff, CF14 1PT
This day school will use archaeology, historical sources and literature to explore how the Anglo-Saxons used magic and medicine in everyday life. We will explore how the impact of Christianity on these beliefs, and look at spells and recipes for medicines. No previous knowledge assumed.
