Former Beatle and all round musical legend - Sir Paul McCartney - has announced plans for a series of huge concerts this Summer, and the Millennium Stadium is one of the venues he is most looking forward to playing.
After announcing the shows, Sir Paul McCartney was quoted as saying "Me and the band can't wait to get to Cardiff and rock out at the Millennium Stadium, which we have been looking forward to playing for quite a while now."
It has been over 30 years since Paul McCartney (then performing with Wings) last played a gig in Cardiff, so it's well overdue. The Millennium Stadium concert is scheduled for Saturday 26th June and is sure to be one of the highlights of the Summer.
Sir Paul will play four UK concerts: Isle Of Wight Festival (13th June), Hampden Park, Glasgow (20th June), Millennium Stadium, Cardiff (26th June) and Hyde Park Calling, London (27th June).
The Manic Street Preachers will be supporting Paul McCartney at the Millennium Stadium. The Manics said "It is a massive thrill to play the stadium again and an even bigger one to be playing it with the legend that is Sir Paul."
Also supporting Paul McCartney at the Millennium Stadium will be North Wales indie band The Joy Formidable.
