You are warmly invited to Turner House on Thursday 17th June for an evening of discussion and refreshments, reflecting on Ffotogallery’s current exhibition Life Less Ordinary : Performance & Display in South African Art. The talk will be followed by June’s artist FORUM.

Michael Carklin is Head of Academic Programmes at the Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries, University of Glamorgan, where he teaches in theatre, performance and film. Michael grew up in Johannesburg and studied and lectured in Grahamstown, South Africa, before moving to the UK. He has a Masters degree in African Studies, specialising in African visual art and literature from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.
Life Less Ordinary has been curated by Anna Douglas and is a touring exhibition from the Djanogly Art Gallery, Lakeside Arts Centre at the University of Nottingham, supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
