Ten Tenors on Sunday the Tenth of the Tenth TwentyTen. Join Dennis O'Neil and guests for a once in a lifetime occasion.
Sunday 10/10/10, the tenth day of the tenth month of 2010, will be celebrated with a Gala concert featuring TEN TENORS.
Held in the magnificent setting of Llandaff Cathedral in aid of the Organ Appeal, world-renowned tenor Dennis O’Neill heads a starry cast which includes the mischievous ‘Three Welsh Tenors’ – Rhys Meirion, Aled Hall and Alun Jenkins, the ‘Three Other Tenors’ from Welsh National Opera – Michael Clifton-Thompson, Philip Lloyd Holtam and Howard Kirk, alongside Jo Roach, Richard Allan and returning to sing tenor to the Cathedral where he was once head boy, chorister Sam Furness.
Adding glamour to the evening will be WNO’s Fiona Harrison and Clare Hampton and the evening will be hosted by BBC Wales presenter Sian Lloyd. Accompanying the singers will be Jeff Howard, and joining in what promises to be a sensational rendition of Nessun Dorma at 10 o’clock will be Côr Caerdydd.
