When: Friday 3rd December 2010 - 1pm
Where: St David's Hall, Cardiff City Centre
The German Requiem by Brahms must be one of the five most popular choral-orchestral pieces ever written. Although moved to write it by two deaths (his best friend Schumann, and his Mother), this is not music of sorrow, but of consolation. Brahms wanted his Requiem to "bring comfort to all, irrespective of creed or race".
