Where: bSb: the place, 11 Windsor Place Cardiff CF10 3BY

TERMINAL: LIVE ELECTRONICA.
machine.records' monthly residency at Cardiff's bSb Bar continues on Thursday 16th December 2004 with live sets from THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, LIFTING GEAR ENGINEER, and ARCANGLE, plus DJ action from the machine.records residents and special guest DJ D.T..

THE LINE-UP.
In their first live show since May, Cardiff's mysterious and fascinating THE INSTRUMENT PANEL return with a batch of brand-new material guaranteed to confound expectations. As heard on the machine.music 2 compilation track, 'I Ain't Had My Fill', THE INSTRUMENT PANEL have taken a musical side-step from the sound of their 2003 debut Holiday on Earth album and this year's Radio Dada 3 collaboration: expect guitars, drums and vocals... in short, actual songs!

The enchanting LIFTING GEAR ENGINEER returns once again to bSb, where he played a stand-out set in September. This time around you'll get the chance to hear material from his new and eagerly anticipated electronica album Brain Holiday - already receiving airplay and critical praise - out in late January 2005, AND to pick up some special advance copies!

Last but by no means least is the formidable ARCANGLE, whose 'Rubbercowboyrooms' track features on machine.music 2. Also known as Drone, under which name he has an album coming out shortly on My Kung Fu records - home to Culprit One and Mountain Men Anonymous - ARCANGLE plays out dark minimalist electronica that has drawn comparisons with US heavy hitters Drexciya!

As well as these three live acts, there's special guest DJ D.T. and the machine.records residents, with all the latest and best electronica from labels like Warp, Rephlex, Skam, Schematic, DHR, Planet Mu, Mille Plateaux, Force Inc, FatCat, Audiobulb, AI, and more... and free CD giveaways for those who turn up in time!

machine.records is a Cardiff-based electronica label. As well as widespread critical praise - "cutting edge and innovative" (BBC Radio Wales), "small but adventurous" (BBC Radio 3), "Cardiff's number one underground electronics imprint" (Buzz), "a very interesting little label indeed" (Smallfish) - the label's new machine.music 2 compilation has recently received repeated airplay on Adam Walton's BBC Radio Wales show and on BBC Radio 3's 'Mixing It'.

Terminal runs Third Thursday Every Month at bSb, 11 Windsor Place, Cardiff (just off Queen Street). 8pm-2am, Free Entry.
