1950’s-inspired harmonic duo The Secret Sisters - aka Alabama siblings Laura and Lydia Rodgers - head to The Glee fresh from making waves on tour with Ray LaMontagne.

Quickly making a name for themselves in the US, The Secret Sisters rose to prominence in the UK after a storming New Year’s Eve appearance on Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny.

Their well-received self-titled debut album, produced by the legendary T Bone Burnett, was released in February. Burnett explains: “I have been making music for over forty years and The Secret Sisters album is as close to pure as it gets.”

The Secret Sisters’ debut single, a rowdy version of Johnny Cash’s Big River, was produced by Jack White and they can also be heard on Ray LaMontagne and The Pariah Dogs’ new EP ‘Live Spring 2010’.

‘It's the sound of Sun Records before it set, but there's nothing retro-modern here. Just simple, old-fashioned talent and charm’ - The Independent

‘Their sprightly harmonies meld with the unforced ease often heard in singing siblings, and they manage to infuse even the oldest songs here with a guileless zest that makes it sound like they just heard them for the first time’ - BBC

'Now touring Britain for the first time in their own right, Laura and Lydia Rogers - aged 25 and 22 respectively - turned the clock back with a show of pristine simplicity that brought the period charm of music from a pre-rock'n'roll era bang up to date' - The Times
