An aging knight travels through Spain, reliving the chivalrous adventures of his youth, but his mind is disintegrating and windmills and sheep take the place of real foes. Cellist Tim Hugh and violist Lawrence Power will bring vividly to life the eccentric knight and his side-kick, Sacho Panza in the fantastical invention and colour of Strauss's Don Quixote. And Strauss's Oboe Concerto will transport you to a cathartic world of Mozartian serenity, after the pain, conflict and peaceful resolution of Britten's Sinfonia da Requiem.
