The Mavron Quartet Summer Recital

The Gate is delighted to present the Summer Evening Recital of one of its residential group, The Mavron Quartet. The event will take place on Friday 22nd July at 7.30pm in The Grand Theatre.
Their concert series at The Gate sees the Mavrons continue their passion for performing mainstream repertoire alongside contemporary works. Programme of this summer recital is: String Quartet in Bb, KV 589 (Mozart), Fratres (Pärt), Crisantemi (Puccini) and String Quartet No.3 in D (Korngold).
Formed in September 2002, the Mavron Quartet is one of Wales’ most exciting and talented young ensembles. The group has performed extensively both in and out of Wales with recital venues including the Welsh College of Music and Drama, Wales Millennium Centre, The National Museums and Galleries of Wales and The Reardon Smith Theatre.
