Michael Jackson Tribute Concert

When: Saturday 8th October 2011 - 6pm

Where: Millennium Stadium, Cardiff City Centre

A massive tribute concert to the late, great, Michael Jackson will take place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday 8th October. The concert, which has the blessing of Michael's mother, will feature a host of top class performers and will be beamed live to more than 30 countries around the world.

The concert, which is titled Michael Forever - The Tribute Concert, is likely to be one of the most high profile events ever hosted at the Millennium Stadium. The stadium was chosen due to the fact that it is the biggest indoor arena in Europe, and will allow the organisers to create an amazing theatrical atmosphere for the estimated 70,000 fans that will attend, plus the millions more watching on TV.

Acts so far confirmed for the concert are as follows: Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, JLS, Cee Lo Green, Craig David, Ne-Yo, Gladys Knight, Alien Ant Farm, Smokey Robinson, Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott, Diversity plus members of the Jackson family. Beyonce is also expected to perform via a satellite link.

The Black Eyed Peas were due to perform at this concert, but have had to cancel their appearance due to "unavoidable circumstances".

The concert will be co-hosted by Oscar winning American actor Jamie Foxx and BBC Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton.
