The Puppini Sisters

The Puppini Sisters

When: Tuesday 6th December 2011 - Doors: 7.00pm - 7.45pm

Where: The Glee Club, Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay CF10 5BZ

The Puppini Sisters add some seasonal cheer to their brilliant harmonies & flamboyance!

The Puppini Sisters are three classically-trained singers, inspired by 1940s swing and jazz music and a golden age of glamour. In addition to timeless classics, the Puppinis also perform swing-style reworkings of modern pop songs.

Their arrangements of Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love, Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive and Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights are as popular with an army of fans that includes the Prince of Wales, as their takes on older classics such as Jeepers Creepers and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.

In this show, they play a selection from their repertoire along with some specially re-worked Christmas classics for some extra seasonal cheer.

Enter their weird and wonderful world that has captured people’s imaginations all over the globe.

'Glorious, hilarious, utterly eccentric and seriously worthy of this week’s voucher from your CD-buying ration book' - The Independent

This concert is being promoted by Wales’ largest independent music promoter Orchard Entertainment, which is staging some 200 gigs over the next year.

Orchard Director Pablo Janczur said: "We’ve staged The Puppini Sisters before and they’ve gone down a storm as they’re very original, despite the obvious inspiration behind them. This promises to be a great Christmas show at The Glee Club in Cardiff Bay."
