Where: Dora Stoutzker Hall, RWCMD, North Road, Cardiff, CF10 3ER
The Exo project is an exploration of the dark, dramatic music from some of Denmark’s leading composers, plus recent Danish-inspired works by Chris Petrie and James Flight, performed by the sensational Azalea Ensemble.
This will be the second performance of the Exo project, following the first performance in London's Kings Place.
Conducted by Christopher Austin, the Azalea Ensemble will perform works ranging from Ruder’s colossal Abysm to Pelle Gundmundsen-Holmgreen’s playfully obscure Plateaux for two. Following hte performance of two works written especially for this event by Chris Petrie and James Flight, the event will close with an unexpected twist from Hans Abrahamsen’s seminal Marchenbilder (Fairytale Pictures).
