The Crucible Winter Bouldering Competition Kicks-off on 8th October 2011
When: Saturday 8th October 2011 -> Sunday 16th October 2011
Where: Boulders Indoor Climbing Centre, St Catherine's Park, Pengam Road, Cardiff, CF24 2RZ
The Crucible is the main bouldering event of the Boulders competition calendar. And this winter we're setting 6 rounds of nastiness to test your little fingers, rip flappers and strain your bulging guns... Joking – It's not that bad, well maybe it is if you want to win!
Competitors of all ages and abilities are welcome to compete; there should be something for everyone to attempt. As always, there’ll be a whole host of wicked prizes.
In each round you will have 9 days to attempt 30 bouldering problems with grades starting from ‘easy’ all the way to ‘V Ninja’! The Grand Final is planned for 31st March 2012 and to qualify you'll have to take part in a minimum of 4 rounds.
Round 1: 8th October - 16th October
Round 2: 12th November - 20th November
Round 3: 10th December - 18th December
Round 4: 7th January - 15th January
Round 5: 11th February - 19th February
Round 6: 10th March - 18th March
Grand Final: 31st March 2012. 10am - 6pm
It is easy to take part. Come down to Boulders, grab a score card from reception (yes! entry to the competition is free!*) … and get cranking. Hope to see you there!
