Ffotogallery’s annual Book Arts Fayre’s celebrate self and independent publishing in all its forms. This free event, set in our beautiful Victorian gallery in Penarth, welcomes all to explore and engage in a wealth of contemporary book arts and print practice from Wales and beyond. Bringing together an eclectic mix of contributors from both invitation and our open submissions, the gallery will be full to the brim with stalls showcasing works for browsing and for buying.
Continuing its long-standing tradition of promotion and education of the arts in Wales, Ffotogallery are proud to be hosting our sixth Book Arts Fayre on Saturday 25th February 2012.
Ffotogallery’s annual Book Arts Fayre’s celebrate self and independent publishing in all its forms. This free event, set in our beautiful Victorian gallery in Penarth, welcomes all to explore and engage in a wealth of contemporary book arts and print practice from Wales and beyond. Bringing together an eclectic mix of contributors from both invitation and our open submissions, the gallery will be full to the brim with stalls showcasing works for browsing and for buying.
We are pleased to announce over 60 contributors taking part in BAF6, including Cardiff-based artists Kathryn Ashill, Heloise Godfrey and Jorge Lizalde; independent publishers SOURCE Photographic Review, from Northern Ireland, Wales’s TANT magazine and Editions FP&CF fro Paris; collectives such as Plymouth photography students We Are All Friends Here, Brighton’s PhotoBookShow and students from the University of Wales, Newport. Creative writer, Briony Goffin will also be hosting the Precious Things project – a writing and making workshop for all the family.

As an independent publisher of photographic art books, Ffotogallery’s publications will also be for sale at specially discounted prices for the day.
Whether you’re interested in meeting sellers and makers; discovering new books and zines from photographers, artists and printmakers or browsing the range of hand-made arty ephemera and cakes–this unique Spring Fayre will be a great day out and leave you inspired to get creative!
There will be no admission charge to this event and visitors are offered a complimentary cup of tea whilst they meander round the stalls! The team at Ffotogallery would like to emphasise the ‘open to all’ nature of the gallery and our programmes.
