We’re delighted to announce the first line up at The Croc of Wit
Ivan Brackenbury will be spinning his, ahem, wheels of steel for your listening pleasure. Ivan Brackenbury is a radio personality without a personality; a cheery but inept ‘bonkers’ DJ on Chesterfield And North Derbyshire Hospital Radio.
And very convincing he is, too. Brackenbury, who sports the Steve Wright moustache and ‘wacky’ red-rimmed glasses, sounds like any number of dreadful local or hospital radio hosts, from the relentlessly upbeat attitude, meaningless patter and punchy off-the-peg jingles. We just know you’re going to love him.
Our first guest at The Croc is former Cardiff comedy stalwart Matt Price. Matt will be fresh from his Edinburgh hit “Fugly”, which come of you saw previewed at the Vagabond Club earlier this year. As this is being written, Matt is flying back from a series of gigs in Singapore. Matt s a warm, engaging story teller, and if you don’t love him already, you’re certain to by the end of his set.
Cook and Davies
We’re ably supported by sketch duo Cook and Davies, who have been featured on the Dick and Dom show, which you youngsters seem to watch on the way back from the pub at ten am. Steffan Alun, is intelligent, whimsical and one we’re keeping a close eye on for the future.
You’d be simply mad to miss this great line up for our first show. No pressure.
