Drawing on a wealth of musical experiences ALAW take their audiences on a musical journey - a tune brought back from a tour in Bulgaria or collaboration in India - but at the heart of their set is a passion for the old tunes of WALES
The ‘Live from Acapela’ series, which is also being filmed, live, for a new S4C series of the same name draws to a conclusion with a live session from Alaw Folk Band, on June 9 2013, featuring accordion wiz Jamie Smith and violinist Oli-Wilson Dickson of folk band Mabon, as well as internationally acclaimed guitarist Dylan Fowler, described by the BBC as having a “bullish determination to ignore recognized boundaries.”
