International Roller Derby: Tiger Bay Brawlers v Sweden's Crime City Rollers

Join us for an evening of top level international roller derby, as we face Sweden's Crime City Rollers, this time on our home turf!
This year the Tiger Bay Brawlers have been lucky to have faced some phenomenal opponents. One team on their ever-lengthening wish list has been the Crime City Rollers (Malmö, Sweden). Crime City came together in March 2010 - just one month before the Cardiff based Brawlers - and have been a team they've kept their eye on as they've progressed through the rankings.
In May's 2013: A Skate Odyssey tournament in Gent, Tiger Bay were delighted to find that their tournament opener was against Crime City and went on to beat them by 244 - 212. This time they're facing their opponents at home!
On Saturday 7 September Tiger Bay will be facing Crime City in Talybont Sports Hall, Cardiff.
A team co-captain Laura Stephenson (aka Lola Coaster) says: "The current unofficial European rankings put us right next to each other with us at number 7 and Crime City just one place below us so the score prediction is too close to call at the moment. We're pretty sure Crime City will want to steal this win to even things up but we're obviously fighting for our second A team home win of the year so it should be a phenomenal game."
Tiger Bay vs. Crime City is at Talybont Sports Hall from 6pm on Saturday 7 September. Tickets are just £8 in advance (£10 on the door). Under 12's free (when accompanied by an adult).
