YMCA SleepEasy Challenge 2015
When: Friday 27th March 2015 -> Saturday 28th March 2015 - 7pm Friday to 6am Saturday
Where: Level 5 Car Park (East side) - St David's Shopping Centre, Cardiff
We are challenging YOU to leave your beds for the night, from 7pm until 6am on Friday 27th March 2015, to join us sleeping under the stars with the aim of raising as much sponsorship, and awareness, about the work we do with the homelessness as you can.
In April we faced an enormous cut in our grant funding – funding which we use to support Cardiff’s most vulnerable people.
At a time when the number of people seeking homeless services has increased, these cuts couldn’t come at a worse time, so we need YOUR support more than ever before – in this event, and in the future.
Last year almost 1000 people came through our doors for help. All were homeless, with nowhere to stay for that night or the foreseeable future... and each with their own individual support needs.
No matter how small your contribution is - TOGETHER - we will make a difference!

We appreciated that sleeping in the elements is not everyone’s idea of fun, so we are also encouraging people to hold their own satellite events throughout March. This could be at your church, school, workplace, college, home or any other safe place.
Simply find a venue and some willing participants, and let me know about it. I can supply sponsorship forms and supporting material to help make your event a success - or you may wish to design you own - and if you have any suggestions or ideas on how we can generate new income now or in the future, please feel free to email me at any time.
