The Enjoyment of Opera

Inspired by the success of their previous History of Opera concerts, Bridgett Gill and Brendan Wheatley (Directors of Swansea City Opera) have put together a light-hearted and informative evening expressing the great enjoyment that can be had with opera.
Perfect for newcomers and regulars alike, Enjoyment of Opera will delve into the world of opera, providing interesting facts and anecdotes to demonstrate the ever changing styles in the wonderful art form. This will involve singing accompanied by piano, including arias and duets by Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Mussorgsky and many many more.
Brendan and Bridgett have devoted a lifetime to opera, as singers, directors and in running their own successful touring companies, Opera Box and Swansea City Opera and will also be giving an introduction to Lakmé, the next production from Swansea City Opera which will kick off in 2017.
Often tongue in cheek, they look forward to sharing their love of opera with you!
