Christmas Presence 2005, a special occasion for all the family, a concert full of seasonal and traditional music that captures the spirit of Christmas with the outstanding, Sir James Galway and guests. Famous for his liquid golden tone, impeccable tuning - and diamond-studded gold flute, Sir James is the world's foremost ambassador of his instrument. Winner of the 'Outstanding Contribution Award' for his lifelong dedication to music at this year’s Brit Awards, Sir James will bring to Christmas Presence a magnificent programme of music.
Also joining us is his wife Lady Jeanne Galway bringing her own mastery of the flute, the soprano Judith Howarth and the wonderful Howell's Girls Choir, together with the Christmas Presence Orchestra under the direction of David Firman. With an exciting and varied programme that includes the classic Troika by Prokoviev, those traditional carols - Joy to the World, Silent night and the ever popular music from the Nutcracker Suit by Tchaikovsky, this year’s Christmas Presence will have something for everyone to help celebrate Christmas in the spectacular surroundings of The Wales Millennium Centre.
