Bistro 10 is listed as an Italian restaurant but the menu is more varied than that. They have a great range of starters including Thai style fishcakes, calamari and brushcetta, to name but a few...
The main courses are generous, nicely presented and prepared in an open style kitchen on full view to the customers. Again, there is something to suit every taste from Singapore Noodles to guinea fowl to steak. Vegetarians also have a good choice and I particularly recommend the tortellini with sun-dried tomatoes.
Bistro 10 is situated on the first floor of Mermaid Quay. When the weather is good you can choose a table on the terrace outside which has great views across Cardiff Bay and of the people below. Inside the restaurant is cool, stylish and minimalist with tasteful modern art on the walls and plush, comfy seating that runs along the back wall.
Don't let the smart décor fool you into thinking this is out of your price range. As a rough guide, main courses are around £9 - £15 or you can choose from the lunch menu for £5.95. If you are planning on booking a table be aware that the restaurant is sometimes closed on Mondays.
