If you want to rock in Cardiff, then check out Metros. Metros is one of Cardiff’s only specialised rock/metal clubs. Metros is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Tuesdays are student night and the heavier of the nights. If you like your rock hard and fast and your drinks cheap, then this is the night for you. Entry is usually no more than £5 and most drinks are a pound all night. The musical stylings encompass punk, skater and industrial. So be warned, moshing is a requirement, as well as the neck brace and hearing aid for the next day.
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays are usually more moderate and the music played varies from indie through to big beat and nu metal. Fridays are generally regarded as the best night to go, as you get a wider mix of people and music, there are usually drink promotions and entry is still very cheap, usually no more than £8.
Unfortunately there are very few rock clubs in Cardiff, so if rock is your thing, then this really is the only club for you.
