Cardiff European Harp Competition
When: Wednesday 18th July 2007 -> Monday 23rd July 2007
Where: Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff School of Music, Coal Exchange.
Held for the first time, the Cardiff European Harp Competition, is open to young harpists who were born or raised in Europe.
It has three age categories: Professional under 30 years, Senior under 21 years, and Junior under 16 years. The jury comprises of international harpists from Wales, Australia, the USA, Spain, Portugal and the Czech Republic, and it is anticipated that there will be over 80 entrants.
The Competition is sponsored by Salvi Harps, and the first prize in the Professional competition is a Concert
Grand Apollo Harp.
The Final of the Professional Competition will be held on Monday, 23rd July at the Coal Exchange.
