by Diane Samuels | Directed by Caroline Leslie
Between 1938 and the outbreak of war, almost 10,000 children, most of them Jewish, were sent by their parents from Germany to Britain. And so nine year old Eva ends up in Manchester and begins a new life. But only when - some fifty years later - Eva's own daughter finds some old letters in the attic, is she forced to confront the truth about her past.
"Samuels has written the best play about pain and passion of mother/daughter relationships." The Guardian
