Fireface is a burningly brilliant play about the most dysfunctional family imaginable, reminiscent of a cross between Ian McEwan’s The Cement Garden, an episode of The Young Ones and a Beckett play.
Kurt is going through puberty, Olga wants sex and Mother and Father barely talk. When Paul arrives on his motorbike the fuse is lit. Growing up can be hell but Meyenburg’s play wickedly asks…what if it isn’t just a phase?
