Kathryn, a photo-journalist, arrives at the home of the dictator of a European state torn apart by civil war. The dictator is not there but Kathryn and her interpreter Gilma are welcomed by the dictator's wife and they wait for him to arrive. Snow begins to fall. The dictator does not arrive. The women talk - Toy Story 2, Prada handbags, chilli vodka...anything. The soldiers close in.
Abi Morgan's brilliant play examines the fragile veneer of our lives and the beating heart within.
