See flamenco dance group Mi Tierra Flamenca in action at St Peters Hall, Roath on 25 June. A professional group from Spain, they are rarely seen in the UK.
Traditional Gypsy flamenco dancing comes to Cardiff on 25th June with the arrival of Mi Tierra Flamenca, a quartet of professional flamenco performers from Spain. The group, rarely seen in the UK, bring with them all the excitement and passion of this vibrant dance style so this really is a rare opportunity see the group first hand.
The Quartet will make their first appearance in Cardiff to launch ‘Flamenco de Gales’, a newly formed voluntary group of flamenco students who’s aim is to promote flamenco dance throughout Wales. Mi Tierra Flamenca (literally: “my flamenco homeland”) has its beginnings in Jerez de la Frontera in Andalucia, a city that is widely regarded as the birthplace of flamenco and still produces some of the world’s most accomplished flamenco artists.
