Nutty Noah Family Entertainment Show

When: Thursday 28th April 2011 - 3.30pm

Where: Gate Arts and Community Centre, Keppoch Street, Roath, Cardiff, CF24 3JW

ONE of the South West's fastest rising entertainers banned from the Britain's Got Talent Cardiff auditions is set to make a massive return. Nutty Noah, a magician and all round entertainer, is bringing his award winning family entertainment show to the Gate Theatre on April 28, at 3.30pm.

The crazy show promises to be full of magic, music and mayhem and may include the famous act, which got him banned from the final auditions of Britain’s Got Talent at the Millennium Stadium.

This act involves Nutty Noah juggling three inflatable balls each measuring three and a half feet and engaging the audience with a game of catch.

Noah was due to perform before the celebrity judges Amanda Holden, comedian Michael McIntyre, and actor and television personality, David Hasselhoff in January.

But he was called at the last minute saying he could not attend in case one of the judges got injured and news of his ban travelled the globe as far afield as India and America.

Noah, 40, of Weston-super-Mare, says the act is perfectly safe and the best bit about it is the reaction he usually gains from the audience.

He said: “The best part of the act is involving the audience by throwing the balls back and forth and usually people love it.

“I am sure it will prove a hit this time around as I return to Cardiff to the Gate Theatre.

“My show has lots of audience participation, magic tricks with the world’s largest wand, balloon modelling, a lie detector, juggling with nine balls and I even balance a ping pong ball on the end of my nose.

“I also bring my miniature grand piano keyboard along and sing some very funny, cheeky and original songs.”

The show will also feature Noah’s famous Hornaphone, a seven ft long musical instrument with 25 horns, which he auditioned with for Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

There are only three of these musical instruments in the country, two other two are owned by comedians Harry Hill and Bill Bailey.

Noah added: “The show will also see me perform with my hornaphone, which is fairly unique having been made especially for me in Stuttgart.”

Notes to Editors:
Noah started his career as a close up magician and once encased himself inside 16 blocks of mature Cheddar weighing 20kg each in a parody of a stunt by illusionist David Blaine.

The American entertainer spent 62 hours entombed in ice in New York's Times Square and Noah tried his own attempt inside the cheese for 48-hours.

But his wife Antonia, 40, suggested he become a children's entertainer after seeing him with their children and his new act was born.

He has been entertaining crowds all over the country ever since with his magic, singing, balloon modelling and juggling.

Over the years Noah has worked with Justin Fletcher (Mr Tumble) and vocal coaches Carrie and David Grant, of Fame Academy, when they performed to thousands of people at Legoland Live.

He has also worked for the bands Portishead and Massive Attack.
