Whispers on the Waves

Are you listening? Are you? If you listen very carefully, you can hear the echoes of the past, the breathing of the present and the waking of the future. Are those ghosts whispering in your sleep? Is that time talking as it passes by? And who’s that calling from the middle of next year? Then, if you listen very, very carefully, you can hear the Silent Man counting the days as Christmas approaches.
Inspired by the story of Artie Moore who, from his garden shed in Pontllanfraith, picked up the distress signal of the Titanic over his amateur radio in 1912, Odyssey (Hijinx Theatre's inclussive community group) eavesdrop on stories from the last century. With music, laughter, tales and tears, Whispers on the Waves is an adventure for all the family, featuring children from Meadowbank School. Written by Philip Michell and directed by Gaynor Lougher and Jain Boon. Generously supported by Wales & West Utilities and Arts & Kids Cymru.
