The Park Vaults is tucked away just off the main pedestrian area of Cardiff's town centre. It's very much your traditional type of pub, nothing fancy, just a good old fashioned place to meet up and have a few drinks.
The Park Vaults is attached to the Park Hotel which has been a part of Cardiff city centre for over 100 years. As such the pub has a very 'Victorian' feel and look about it. From the outside you may think you've just stepped back into the 1930's. Once inside you'll see you weren't far wrong either! The seating is minimal: old fashioned bar stools with a row of 'wooden snugs' against the back wall.
At the business end the Park Vaults serves a good range of real ales which are sure to keep the CAMRA lot happy :)
I have heard a rumour that bar meals are served throughout the day but I can't be sure of this as I've never eaten there.
With 2 TV's perched high at either end of the bar this is an ideal venue to come and escape the Saturday shopping frenzy with a pint whilst watching the footy/rugby.
