Gio's restaurant in The Hayes, Cardiff makes for a great pre-concert place to eat.
I'd like to recommend Gio's as a pre-concert place to eat if you are going to St David's Hall. It's a small and cosy restaurant situated just down the road at the opposite end of The Hayes.
Our party of 4 had a great time last Saturday. The food was lovely (lamb shank highly recommended) and the service was attentive. 2 antipasti (to share), 4 mains, coffee and 2 bottles of house red came to slightly under £100 which we reckon was a reasonable price to pay.
Would suggest booking ahead as the place was quite full by the time we left at 7.15 pm.
